KEAM (Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical) 2009 Entrance Exam (Engineering) Results

Monday, 15 June 2009: The result of the Entrance Examination for admission to the ENGINEERING COURSES, Kerala 2009, is published. The result has been prepared on the basis of the Entrance Examination conducted on 25th (Physics & Chemistry) and 26th (Mathematics) May 2009 and is published in roll-order (with Rank). The results of 83 candidates have been withheld (WHELD) on various grounds. Candidates who have not appeared for both the Papers in the Engineering Entrance Examination and those who have secured less than 10 marks (with exception of SC/ST candidates) in each paper of the examination have been 'Disqualified' (DQLFD).

The results will be available at the Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations and on the web-sites, http://keralaresults.nic.in, www.cee.kerala.gov.in, http://results.kerala.nic.in, www.cee.kerala.gov.in/wap (for GPRS enabled mobile devices) from 9.30 am today.

The Answer Keys to the questions were published on 28.05.2009. A few complaints regarding the questions / keys have been received and the same have been

examined by Expert Committees constituted for the purpose. Based on the recommendations of the Committees, the following modifications have been made in the answer keys published on 28.05.2009.

Accordingly, no question has been deleted from valuation in Paper I (Physics & Chemistry). In Paper II (Mathematics), two (2) questions have been deleted. These questions have not been included in the valuation and no marks have been awarded for these deleted questions to any candidate. Valuation has been based on 118 questions in Mathematics. The marks obtained in Paper II have been multiplied by (120/118) to get the actual marks (corrected to four places of decimals) in determining the marks for Paper II. The above formula is applied to award proportionate marks based on the score of the candidate for the questions considered for evaluation (excluding deleted question) and to compensate the loss of marks for the deleted question.

Valuation is computerized and is error-free. There is no provision for revaluation of answer scripts or re-checking of marks.

The results of candidates claiming SC/ST benefits, whose community claims have not been cleared by the Screening Committee, have been withheld.
